Legal and Structural Statement
Apex Response Solutions, LLC and Apex Response Foundation are the parent companies and are the governing entity for the National Crisis Response Academy (NCRA) program. These companies operate as a hybrid organization, combining both for-profit and nonprofit (501(c)(3) structures to effectively balance growth, accessibility, and community service.
Hybrid Structure Purpose
The hybrid model was established to ensure that high-quality crisis intervention training programs remain both sustainable and accessible nationwide. Through this model:
Apex Response Solutions, LLC (For-Profit Division) oversees national program expansion, contracts, and professional service delivery to ensure consistent quality, innovation, and operational stability across all regions.
The Apex Response Foundation (501(c)(3) (Nonprofit Division) is dedicated to promoting equitable access to training through scholarships, grant funding, and financial assistance programs for agencies, entities and individuals who may not have the resources to cover full program costs.
This division is still in the development phase and will be fully integrated upon completion of requirements as outlined by the state of Colorado.
Transparency and Integrity
This structure allows us to operate in a financially responsible and transparent manner, ensuring:
No individual or entity is denied training solely due to financial hardship.
All funds allocated through the nonprofit division are used exclusively for educational and community benefit purposes, as permitted under IRS regulations.
The for-profit division’s revenue supports program development, national infrastructure, and continuous improvement of all training curricula.
Commitment to Quality
Operating under this hybrid model does not alter or diminish the quality of training, services, or instruction. All NCRA courses, whether provided under the nonprofit or for-profit arm, meet the same professional standards of excellence, evidence-based practice, and compliance with applicable state and federal training requirements.
Statement of Intent
Under the umbrella of these two companies, the National Crisis Response Academy is committed to advancing crisis intervention education, strengthening community partnerships, and expanding access to professional development opportunities nationwide—without compromising integrity, accountability, or mission focus.
